Winter

Although winter may not be as pronounced in the Philippines as it is in other parts of the world, this season still holds a special place in my heart. As the temperature drops and the nights grow longer, I find myself drawn to the warmth of cozy blankets, hot cocoa, and crackling fires.

Winter is a time of introspection and reflection, a time to slow down and recharge. I love taking this opportunity to indulge in self-care and spend time with loved ones. Whether it's curling up with a good book or enjoying a movie marathon, there's something comforting about the hushed stillness of winter.

Although we may not have snow and ice, we still have our own unique ways of celebrating this season. In the Philippines, we have Simbang Gabi, a nine-day novena of dawn masses leading up to Christmas. It's a time of community and faith, a time to come together and celebrate the joy of the season.

Winter is also a time of giving, of spreading warmth and kindness to those around us. Whether it's volunteering at a local charity or donating to those in need, there are endless opportunities to spread joy and light during this season.

So let's embrace the stillness and magic of winter, and take this opportunity to reflect, recharge, and give back. Drop a ❄️ in the comments if you're ready to welcome the season of warmth and kindness!
